Agriscience and Natural Resources
This is a one-year program and students in this program will work in the classroom and lab, learning and developing skills to prepare them for careers in agribusiness, animal science, environmental series, food processing, natural resources, horticulture and technical systems. Additional areas of study include sustainable agriculture, propagation, forestry, plant and greenhouse systems, animal anatomy/physiology, nutrition, reproduction and health. Upon completion of the program, students will have gained basic awareness of agriculture and natural resources and will have learned how the diversity of products in agriculture leads to future opportunities in the career field. Students that have successfully completed the first-year curriculum may return for a second year through an application process for Advanced Skills in the classroom, Work Based Learning (WBL) or industry certifications.
