9/26/2022 The Automotive Technology program at Mecosta-Osceola Career Center (MOCC) is happy to announce a generous donation of a Hunter alignment machine from Graff Auto Group. This machine replaces the old machine that was broken and out of date. Mr. Todd Ballard, the lead teacher in the MOCC Automotive program reached out to the advisory council with a program need for a machine that could be used on current vehicles. Ms. Vickie Munday of the Graff Auto Group reached out to the dealerships to those that might be replacing their alignment machine. The Graff Chevrolet dealership in Bay City had a machine being replaced and were willing to donate the old machine to the Career Center. The Career Center was very happy to be able to accept the generous donation. “We always want to help out the community where it matters.” Says Ms. Munday. The Auto program uses this type of machine to train 11th and 12th grade students from the Mecosta-Osceola ISD school districts. Alignments are a key component of the Automotive Service Excellence certification students can earn while attending the center. Employers cite alignments as an important skill needed for both entry level and advanced level technicians. This machine will help the center place students with skills needed for current positions in the community. Chippewa Hills Seniors Evan Therrian and Ridge Davy work with the donated Alignment machine at the Career Center.
